Celebrate National Chess Day with a weekend of Tournaments!

Join tournaments Friday through Sunday, as well as Free Assessment Lessons offered Monday - Friday weekly!

National Chess Day was established in 1976 by President Ford and is celebrated on the second Saturday in October. At Chess4Life, we're taking the whole weekend to celebrate this unique game that provides fun, growth, and community!

WA State Qualifier Tournament (Online)

  • First State Qualifier of the Season
  • 4-Rounds Swiss Paired, NWRS-Rated
  • Sections K - 6th U900 & K-12th Open

Free Skill Assessment / Private Lesson (Online)

  • Discover your child's strengths and areas of improvement
  • Identify your child's Chess4Life chess level
  • Have fun meeting a coach and asking any chess questions you may have!

Limited One-on-One slots available Monday - Friday

* ONLY AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN AGES 5 - 15 WITH PARENT PRESENT

Free Lichess Arena Tournament (Online)

  • Test your skill in a fun arena tournament on Lichess
  • Join anytime and play for as long or as little you like
  • You can leave and rejoin as long as the tournament is still running
  • Three random players will be selected to win a prize from Chess4Life

Sunday, October 9th - 12PM PT - 8PM PT

*Tournament is available for players ages 5 - 17

Friday Night Quad Tournament (Online)

  • Play three rated games against opponents of similar skill
  • Live game analysis offered
  • NWRS-rated and all new players establish a free, official chess rating
